We have a lot of memberships - Chamber, BBB, Petroleum Club, Women's Club. These are great networking events. Once you are clear who your ideal client is try to attend events where they are. I also browse Eventbrite for events in our area.

If you’re looking to pick up work quickly, I’d focus on both in-person networking and local platforms like Nextdoor.
Go into local businesses in person, like property management companies, real estate offices, and even small local offices, and introduce yourself. That has been one of the biggest drivers for us. Offering a discounted first clean can help get your foot in the door and lead to repeat work and referrals.
At the same time, Nextdoor has been huge for us. Posting before and after photos, customer reviews, and occasional specials tends to bring in consistent local inquiries.
That combination of showing up in person and staying visible online has worked really well for building steady work.

Talk to other home service pros in your area, I am always looking for cleaners in my area (Toronto). Once someone is in a home for a service and builds a level of trust it's easy to make a recommendation. If I am already in a home and see that it is in need of a cleaning service, I am happy to recommend a good cleaner. At the same time if they offer me a commission for a lead, or recommend my services to their clients, the needle is moving and we are both happy!
