Neither! I am surprised to see on this website how many don't know anything about being "Tax Exempt". I myself don't mind paying my taxes, but unnecessary taxes, after taxes, after taxes, is a bit much. So what I am trying to say is, if you are starting a new business or even updating an old business, check into forming it as a Nonprofit agency.
Did you know that "Goodwill" is a nonprofit agency? And I assure that they are doing just fine. Did you know that the "YMCA" is a nonprofit agency? Well, I am saying this to say, I also did not know much about starting a business when I started years ago. But since then, I have taken the time to "educate myself" and the rest is history. I now own and operate 4 nonprofit agencies. One of them is called: "Housing 4 Now, Inc". I now enjoy every minute of working with people who need help and those who just need information. It is listed as a 501(c)(3). I also manage a "Faith Base Church Ministry", called: "Lord's Glory Ministry". The church ministry is listed as a 508(c)(1)(a) agency. Between these two nonprofits we have helped over 650,000 people, to either fine food, shelter, or job employment.
The best part of it all is NO TAXES. Yapp, no taxes. Thank about it for a minute, which would you ready rather do, work your butt off trying to start and operate a new business and pay a bunch of taxes at the end of the year. Or start a real business and help people to recover and start a new life. Oh, and don't forget, "No Taxes".
At both of the above business, you will find tons of valuable free information and eBooks, on how to start a business and or how to form a real business using a nonprofit. The choice is your. Continue to work for the man or start making the man work for you. Oh, and don't forget about all of the free Grant Money that is available. There is no limit.
