Motivation was mentioned above. Another one for me is compartmentalizing. One moment I am firing someone on the street whom is so disgruntled and yelling obsenities at me and literally the next meeting is an interview and putting a smile on my face. Sometimes it gets so busy I do not have time to debrief at the end of the day and analyze my day.
That’s incredible you’ve truly honed compartmentalization if you can go from a tense firing straight into an upbeat interview. When days are too hectic for a full debrief, try a 60-second shutdown ritual at your last calendar slot.
Mentally highlight one win and one lesson from the day.Take three deliberate, deep breaths and stretch your shoulders.
That tiny pause helps you “close the lid” on work mode and come back tomorrow sharper. Can you fit that in?
