What are your core values?

What are your core values and can your team name them verbatim? We really tightened ours up in the last six months and I’d rather steer clear of having “just words on an office wall”. How does your team emulate the values? Do you provide a core value analysis during performance reviews?

  • Trustworthy: We believe trust is the foundation of all two-way relationships.

Responsible: As human beings, our goal is to do the right thing, at all times, no matter the cost.

Reliable: Time is a promise to show up, on time, ready to work with a welcoming smile.

Loyal: We focus on building relationships, and consistency of cleanings.

Helpful: Committed to making lives easier through collaborative solutions.

Respectful:The cornerstone of relationships begins with mutual respect.

Flexible: Your life isn’t carved in stone, neither are our service schedules.

We evaluate every day with core values.  It is in our everyday vocabulary on how we have discussions.

  • Although I cannot attest to the "analysis during performance reviews" because I do not lead a full-time team at this time.  I'm currently leaning into these Core Values and it can be remembered with this acronym:  RIGHT

Responsibility:  Own your mistakes and refuse to play the victim
Initiate:  Step up to act without needing to be told
Go the Extra Mile:  Always give, and refuse to settle for the minimum
Humility:  Know your strengths without being boastful
Team Player:  Foster a healthy, and supportive environment with the people around you.  Be steadfast, and undeniably dependable to your mission, and customers.  Be ready to adapt, strive, and grow together.

Of course they certainly don't need to memorize this word for word, but I think anyone (8 +) can understand the concept of  "Does this seam RIGHT to you?""
