Internal or external doesn't matter, I'd be interested if anyone has figured out a way to automatically add notes in this way.
Bottom line, in theory, this appears to be possible. As a Jobber Developer Partner I've been digging into a number of things surrounding Notes lately aarontree and here is what I have found out so far...
Notes are not a standalone object within Jobber's architecture. What this means is that they always have to be accessed through the 'parent' record, Client, Request, Quote, etc.
I'm going to first work on testing this with Client notes. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the additional context.

Where do I find jobber's architecture diagram. After years on working in Engineering for a SAAS company, I've moved into the small biz my husband started and am going crazy not having history of the onboarding kickoff, training, config, testing, and go live activities (which I'd expect to include architecture, data dictionary, etc. given the level of manual work he/we/I still do). Please advise if you happen to read this old thread. Thank you.
