Campaigns can do this, but how they count time decides whether it works. Jobber's help article on campaigns says the automated "Re-engage past clients" template counts from the job's completion date or its scheduled end date, whichever is earlier, and only picks up clients with no upcoming work. So the clock starts when the job ends, not after each visit, which is the issue Thomas raised.
A setup that fits that rule:
- Make each annual service its own one-off job and close it when the work is done. If next year's visit sits on the same job (or on a recurring job), the client has upcoming work and won't qualify.
- Set the campaign's wait time as close to 11 months as the template lets you.
- Use the campaign filters (tags, line items or job type) so it only goes to the right clients, for example a tag like "annual service".
- It isn't retroactive. Clients whose jobs ended before you switched it on may need a one-off campaign to catch up.
Limits worth knowing:
- The help article describes email campaigns, sent to the client's primary email. I didn't see a text option, so a text reminder would need to be sent separately.
- Campaigns are part of Jobber's Marketing Suite. The help article says it's available on all plans except Lite, and the pricing page lists it as an add-on.
- The custom automation builder won't cover 11 months: its timed triggers are based on quotes and invoices and go up to 90 days.
Try it on one test client first so you can see the timing before relying on it.
