Not able to get auto location timer to work

Question

I have not been able to get the auto location timer to work on my mobile device. When I go to the app and try to toggle on location timers I get a pop up that says, "location timers are best used with an unrestricted battery. Turn off all optimizations in your phone setting."

I have turned everything off that I know of but still get the error message. I am obviously missing something but cannot figure it out. I am using a google pixel 6 pro running android 16.

Can anyone give any input on how to resolve?

Here's how to disable battery optimization for an app on Android:
Open Settings: Go to your phone's settings menu.
Navigate to Apps: Find and tap on "Apps".
Select the App: Choose the specific app for which you want to disable optimization.
Access Battery Settings: Tap on "Battery" or "Battery Usage" within the app's settings.
Disable Optimization: Look for options like "Optimize battery usage", "Battery optimization", or similar wording, and select "Unrestricted" or "Not optimized".
Confirm: If prompted, confirm your choice.
