ROUTING
So serious question. how in the world do you actual route the properties because it certianly isnt by the least amount of drive time. is it just a geo code. or what it sucks and now i have proof. oh...
Hey BlueSkys, thank you so much for the context. I would like to apologize for any issues you have been experiencing with the routing.
Our routing system retrieves data from Google Maps, and you are correct in saying that it uses geocoding. If you are experiencing these issues, especially on properties you frequent, I recommend manually updating the property pin. To do this go to the client > property (click he pin) and you can update it there to be more precise. I do understand your frustration that this was not something that you needed to do with your previous CRM - but once the points are manually adjusted, they will stay like that for all future uses.
Our Success Team would be more than happy to assist you with your routing and ensure that it is set up correctly for your needs so you can minimize drive time.
I would love to know what other CRM systems you have used routing on, so I can fully understand how changes to our routing would benefit you, and let our Product Team know.
We thank you kindly for the thorough feedback.
The primary issue is that the software appears to calculate routes based on "as the crow flies" distance rather than actual driving paths. Furthermore, the routing does not prioritize arrival logic that places the vehicle with the passenger side facing the customer's residence. This is a standard feature in competing routing software and is essential for the safety and efficiency of my team.
Hello, thanks for your reply! I can understand how a feature that calculates driving paths would be beneficial to you and other Jobber customers. In the Jobber app, you can click the service property and open it in your maps of choice to ensure you are on the best route.
While this is not calculated in Jobber at this time, we are always looking to improve, and we will share this valuable feedback with our Product Development team.
