Suggestions for Jobber

Below is some suggestions I have for Jobber to improve use. This is reviewing the two past years of my company and the complications they have using it. Anymore? Keep it going!

  1. Create a filter in clients to separate residential and commercial.
  2. Display icon in clients for residential and commercial.
  3. Prompt you if a duplicate client is being created. Identical names especially for companies shouldn't be allowed.
  4. Option to turn off archived search results when using the search bar.
  5. Create a collect payment button for invoices instead of having to click edit invoice to collect payment.
  6. Under save invoice options add selection save invoice and mark as sent.
  7. Create an edit mode for products and services and for visits. You would click the button allowing you to change the text in the columns and toggle taxable or non taxable. when edit mode is turned off it will save any changes. You can also do a select box so you can deactivate or delete multiple at a time. For visits, dates should be an option in the edit mode.
  8. Length of visits should be an option in one off or recurring. Shouldn't just default to all day.
  9. Quotes have a bulk archive, this should be added to jobs and requests and for the quotes there should be options such as bulk archive, bulk approve.
  10. When converting quotes to a job there should be selection boxes to select which line items you want to convert. And once line items are converted and someone tries to do it again maybe a popup saying this has already been converted to job #______  are you sure you want to proceed?
  11.  In Manage teams, allow you to create a password for your technician. Sometimes techs are in the field having issues and don't have time to verify and change a password. Administrators should have this option.

  • I completely agree with a lot of these!  Let me add a few:

    1. When creating batch invoices, the job title does not cross over and it changes the title to the default title. That is VERY frustrating since I have the jobs titled for a reason.  It defeats the purpose of batch invoices if I still have to go in and change the title.
    2. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY need an option on the quote for the customer to decline.
    3. I would like to be able to see WHO created a job, etc.  An audit trail is available on every other type of computer program. Why not Jobber?
    4.  I 100% agree with your #10! I spend too much time trying to figure out and merge the same job that has been created twice! Because there is always one or two employees that will enter time on the wrong job!  To add to this...it would also be great if there was a prompt when someone tries to create a job NOT from the quote - something to remind them there is an open quote.  Our guys are really bad about doing this, so it looks like our conversion rate is low.
    5. Also on quotes under 'salesperson', it should continue to say the person's name that created it, not 'deleted user'.  We have a few employees that previously did quotes for us but have left us for whatever reason. Just because I have deactivated their Jobber profile, I still need to know who originally created the quote.
