BOUNDARIES! Actually clocking out at 5p. Actually unplugging on vacation. Actually allowing the leadership team to complete their responsibilities. Deleting work email from your phone!

This is not easy especially in the begining when you start a business. I found in the begining the business consumed me. Eventually I felt that I needed to put some boundaries in. We now work Monday through Friday 9-5. We are off on the weekends. This allowes me as a business owner to take rest as well if I want to. Sometimes I have some work that I want to get done so I can carve some time out on the weekends too. I also use my Jobber account as a task manager. I add all my reoccuring tasks in there. If I am ready to delegate an item it is super easy to add it to my other team member and assign it to them. My tasks keep me also sane. I know what needs to be done each day.

Within the business, prioritize scheduling strategically and build up my team's skills. So that when I step out of the business (so to speak), I can more easily prioritize family. I find that alternating office work and field work days helps as well within the business. And having a very supportive wife helps :)

Get a dog haha that thing will be always glad to see you and it will force you to take care of something else and be present. Besides getting married, it's the best thing I've done for my sanity.
Another thing is having a hobby that you want to be better at and you need to be 100% present for while you're doing it. Mine is beach volleyball. It helps me strive to be good at something besides the company and takes up some of my mental bandwidth.

Don't lose track of the things that kept you happy before you were a business owner. Fond memories of being with a certain person, the view from one spot, a vacation you took. You're not just a entrepreneur, you're a human being too that needs recharge and rest sometimes.
