When To Reprioritize Health and Fitness While Running a Growing Business?

Has anyone found it easier to prioritize your health at a certain stage of businesses?

Studies show foretell between professional success and personal health and fitness. I think it's more complex than that but i wish I never stopped being healthy and fit.

5 years into businesses,  $1-3M stage with wife and 3 kids ages 9 and Under. How do you do it?! Or just leap of faith and deal with work issues after?

Looking at hiring a fitness coach to help me get back into shape but im scared to pull the tougher and let everything else in my life down.

  • Great question.  This is why when I think about how much more profit I could be making if I did not have the staff in place.  I am top heavy (I have a supervisor, office admin and part time sales rep) because I want to do my walk once a day, go to my Sunday morning joga and have dinner with my husband at least 2-3 per week.  We are both busy so this is our commitment.

Wow, you are killing it! I made a lot of shifts in recent years to protect time with my family but I was still left out personally. Now that I have a little breathing room at work, it's a huge motivator to become more profitable so I can afford to be more top heavy and regain what I have been sacrificing for so long. Thank you for the reminders of the cost of balance and sharing your experience.

I used to take my bike everywhere with me. If I got the opportunity to ride before, during, or after work, I did. Take your "lunch" when it's convenient during the day. With smalls at home, you have you have little chance to honor your body when you get home!

If i can't get my workout in before the chaos starts, It is a struggle to make time elsewhere. I'm "active" in my job and a little sports here and there but it isn't the training I need. Food destroys my progress too with either not eating throughout the day due to fires or taking something convenient because I'm not meal prepping enough. How is running a business easier than prioritizing our own health! Thank you for your feedback
