nice! We have a sheet with avatar attributes similar to your google doc. We get a handful of clients that love our service and know what it's like building a business/understand entrepreneurship so they're happy to fill out the internal sheet. Otherwise we don't outright ask ALL our client's to fill out the internal sheet, nor would they want to, so we find out through a conversation and responses can vary quite a bit.

You do it that way too? Once you get feedback from your clients, how have you gone about parsing it out so you have data you can make confident decisions on?

We use data from our existing client base to build different avatars for different services. From there we utilize public data to refine and strain down the avatars like , EDDM, Facebook and ESRI.

Example: Our repair clients are completely different from our maintenance clients.
