I think one of the biggest challenges when expanding into a new service area is making sure you can deliver the same level of quality and trust that your customers already expect from you.
The first time doing something new can be intimidating because there’s always a learning curve, but I believe that’s where growth happens. Researching, asking questions, learning from people who have already done it, and being willing to adapt can make a huge difference. For me, the biggest hurdle would be balancing the excitement of new opportunities with making sure I have the right knowledge, tools, and process in place before taking on too much. I’d rather grow the right way and build a strong reputation than rush and risk disappointing customers. Sometimes being willing to figure things out while staying humble enough to ask for advice is what helps small businesses grow.
