Improving Jobber's Online Booking for a Cleaning Business

Hey everyone,

I love using Jobber for my cleaning business, but I’m finding the online booking functionality a bit lacking. We’re losing potential clients and wasting ad spend because customers can't book instantly online. While we always respond quickly to inquiries, the inability to offer instant booking is really hurting us.

We provide a range of services—End of Lease, General Home Cleaning, Airbnb Cleaning (based on the number of rooms, bathrooms, etc.)—and have optional extras like oven cleaning and linen hire. Setting all this up in Jobber's online booking system has been a nightmare!

I know some of our competitors use platforms like Booking Koala or Launch27, but I really don’t want to switch. Has anyone found a good workaround within Jobber or a solution that works for similar businesses?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • I have been in the process of looking for "greener pastures" just to make sure I am getting the most of things like all you other folks. Yes, Jobber still has some kinks but I am finding out for me Jobber has the most important things I need. Plus I am used to all the features and navigating it. All I know is that I would need to pay a secretary more than $400 a month to do what Jobber does.

Yep, you don't want to leave Jobber chasing one feature and then loose out on the 50-100 things it dominates in....

  • I really like the way that HCP has a pricing form, making it easier for the customer to build their own price. Not promoting them as I left for several reasons.

  • I totally feel your pain with Airbnb logistics. Managing 100+ properties manually in Jobber is a recipe for burnout. We’ve actually been working on a custom API bridge that connects iCal/Airbnb feeds directly into Jobber's scheduling, specifically to handle the 'Instant Book' flow and optional extras (like oven cleaning) that Jobber's native form struggles with. You don't need to switch to Booking Koala—you just need a smarter data layer on top of Jobber. I’d love to share how we’re handling these automated triggers for other service pros.
