Best Jobber Automations

I just wanted to get a post going for these. They can be super powerful in your business and I feel like they don't get talked about enough sometimes.

What are your best Jobber automations you have set up??

I really enjoy dashboards myself that give more custom information about my business. I like to use Airtable / Asana / Zapier.

Cheers !

  • Does anyone have a VA they're currently using, or have used in the past to help setting up automations with zapier and / or make adjustments to a website? I'm looking to hire someone for a handful of small tasks, so it's not really enough for a full on VA, so just wondering if I could sub them from you for a few hours over the winter.

  • will jobber allow me to webhook to my affiliate program on my wordpress website. Its telling me they got rid of it in 2024. Anyone faced this before?

We do have a lot of Automations, the most important one being lead intake.
    - Callrail, this is the best. Every new call creates a customer and a new lead in our system. You can configure the parameter to filter it a little bit.
    - Thumback, Angi and our WEB form all feed directly to new customer/lead.
    - Then have Zappier and n8n, mostly to support Lead tracking, cost, and revenue per lead source in Google Sheets.

Things have changed a little since I first did this post.

If you guys want to have some fun, check out something called Base44. It's a vibe coding platform, and recently I've been in there connecting it to the backend of Jobber's API.

You can do quite a bit more than a typical webhook or Zapier automation.....

Watch out though, it's a real addiction. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

The latest automation I made the other day was once a day. I have an agent scan my Jobber notes for new pictures, and it takes those pictures from the notes in Jobber and puts them in a Google Drive folder. I use Go High Level for posting to all my social media, and now my photos are right there, pre-loaded and ready to go. I don't have to go get them from Jobber whatsoever. I don't have to deal with zip files anymore; it's so nice.

      Byron,

I'm big on stuff like this how did you get started?  I really like the social media automation and need to sort something similar out for my company.  Would love to get some insight.

      Thanks

      Marc.

Basically just youtube and Friday nights nerding out lol

I'll film a YouTube video and put it on my channel "Techstack for the Trades"

If you jump on Base 44 and just start it will walk you through the process. Just takes a bit of back and forth explaining what you would like done.

  • Thanks Byron,

I have done this before when we were setting up webhooks to tie Jobber to our Microsoft environment and use them to update SharePoint lists.  I'll reach out if I think this is a good fit, if there is some referral code you have for Base44 that will help you in some way let me know and I'll figure out a way to get a PM to you.

  • This is a great thread—automations are definitely the 'secret sauce' for scaling.

We’re actually working on a dedicated HubSpot-Jobber integration to help with exactly that—moving deals and contacts without the usual 'middleware' headaches or high Zapier costs. If you’re looking to add that to your automation stack, we’re looking for feedback and offering free access for a limited time to testers.
