You can certainly get a national carrier but I highly recommend using an insurance agent/broker that is in your state and knows local and state regulations. The agent/broker doesn’t cost you any additional money and you have that person to shop your policy's, ask off the record questions and not have to deal with a 1-800 number. Much more convenient and custom to your needs.
