Independent contractors for cleaning business:
Hello,
I am currently trying to structure and grow my parents cleaning business. It is challenging when it comes to employees and motivation, work quality, benefits etc. We are a small family owned business and do not have the scale to do everything a bigger organization can do for its employees. We are thinking of contracting independent contractors and would like some advise on how to manage contractors? are there any systems that you would recommend for 'contractor profiles'?
Thank you,

It always best to build out your ideal Subcontractor avatar along with a simple scoring system to help qualify them on the back end. Then I would suggest setting up job ad's, a hiring system, retaining system and firing system. This will help you be able to attract, retain and/or let go of any subcontractors. We've been running a subcontractor model for years with great success, but you must be very careful with it.
Subcontractors an easily steal clients, not show up and a myriad of other issues if expectations are not clear from the start. - judithviragContributor 4

How do you keep track of the costs of each subcontractor for each job/visit, especially recurring jobs?
