walletfriendly asked how the client approves the changes when you edit the job directly - and that question never got answered, because that's exactly the gap. Editing the job updates the price, but there's no approval attached to the change itself. Editing the quote wipes the original signature. A second quote gives you approval, but now the added work lives in a separate record from the job.
I'm a developer building a tool for exactly this: you open it from a link on the Jobber job, add only the changed items, the client signs on-site (or gets a text link), and the approved amount carries into billing - original quote stays untouched, and you keep a signed record of each change.
