Change orders

You don't need to mess around with a new quote at all. The easiest way is to throw it straight onto the existing active job as a new line item.

​Here’s the simplest way to do it in Jobber:

1. ​Open the Job: Pull up the active job in Jobber (app or desktop).
2. ​Edit Line Items: Click Edit, scroll down, and add a new line item.
3. ​Label It Clearly: Start the title with CHANGE ORDER #1: so it jumps out (e.g., CHANGE ORDER #1: Prep & paint additional rear trim), then set your price.
4. ​Save & Notify: Save the changes and shoot the updated job details over to the client via text or email.
5. ​Get the OK: Drop a quick line in the message: "Hey [Name], updated the job with the extra work we talked about. Just reply 'Approved' so I can get this on the schedule!"
