Looking for Guidance: Good, Better, Best Quotes In Jobber

For those of us doing good, better, best quotes in Jobber, how are you setting them up to make them feel the most cohesive and communicate the added value?

We are having this discussion in Service Catalyst, a highly accessible peer mentorship and education community for new and growing trade service business owners. We have quite a few Jobber users in there and we have not come to a concuss. I figured I would ask the expert here!

Plus, my painting company that is on Jobber could use to better our G,B,B quote template.

Would it not look something like this? x3 optional line items.

Yeah, this is how we/they are doing it now. It feels a bit like an afterthought is the reason for the conversation.

      Thank you for sharing.

I think Good, Better, Best starts long before you send the quote!

One of the biggest things I learned about sales this year is selfless communication. Before presenting options, you need to understand the customer’s pain points, priorities, and what they’re ultimately trying to accomplish.

We’re the experts in our respective industries, not the customer. They shouldn’t have to decipher three packages and figure out which one is best for them.

The real value comes from being able to say, based on what you’ve shared with me, here’s what I’d recommend and why.

That doesn’t always mean recommending the most expensive option. Sometimes the basic option genuinely meets their needs.

I’d structure each option around the outcome it delivers rather than just listing additional services. What problem does each tier solve?

Jobber is the vehicle for presenting the quote, but the conversation leading up to it is what makes those options meaningful.

Sell the solution, not the package.

If you wanted to add more line items to one option, you would use the build option set.

  • Definitely agree with this and that is a big part of the discussion we are having.

We do also need to present it in a way that is attractive and low friction to the customer. Value communicated and connected to their individual need is the first step, frictionless conversion method is the next!

Thank you for the thoughtful response.
