Question: We require prepaid invoices for most of our services and most of our jobs are anytime jobs. Can these features be set up for prepayment so we don't have to get a request, send a quote with 100% deposit, etc? Answer: We don't currently offer prepayments within Jobber. Thank you for providing this feedback on how we can improve to better suit your needs - please keep doing that! We are always looking to improve our offering for home service pros, and will definitely pass your feedback along to our team.Customer Q: With ACH do we, as the contractors get complete payment? Or just part of it?
Answer: (Hopefully I am understanding this question correctly - let me know if not!) When your customer pays via ACH Bank Payment, you receive the entire amount they've paid into your account. There is a 1% fee for this payment method. If you toggle on partial payments on an invoice, your customer can opt to pay the invoice amount across different payment methods (ex: split between two different credit cards, or part credit card and part ACH payment). They could also only pay for part of the overall total. However, they will still receive reminders that they have an overdue invoice until the entire invoice amount has been paid. Question: We require prepayment for most jobs. Is this an option so we don't have to do a bunch of back and forth with the client? Answer: We don't offer subscription or prepayment of services to be delivered as feature in Jobber currently. There are a few workaround options - I would recommend reaching out to our support team at support@getjobber.com to ask for a recommendation. Thank you for providing this feedback to tell us how we can better suit your needs - please keep doing that. You can accept partial payments with ACH or credit cards. To enable partial payments, you simply need to toggle the option on for any invoice where you want this option. (Whereas ACH is a universal setting for all invoices, partial payments can be set on an invoice-by-invoice basis).24Views1like0CommentsCredit Card processing will soon be dead and it cant come soon enough.
As I learned more and more about businesses and how the market place works I was inevitable exposed to Credit Card processing. Since most of you were also exposed to CC processing services in one way or another I found It important to bring it up on this platform. How many of you have been negatively affected high interest that only keeps climbing? How about the dreaded phantom delays CC processing just magically creates for you? Or my personal favorite, when 20% of your duly owed compensation is withheld from you for 120 days because that's what the CC company has deemed is in your best interest.. To me, this system is awful and over due for a rude awakening. When capabilities such as Zelle, Checks, ACH transfers, and future technologies brought on by AI become more available; those little pieces of burdensome plastics will become obsolete. These THIRD PARTY credit card companies have taken advantage of virtually everyone, and I for one cannot wait until they are completely gone for good!124Views2likes3CommentsWhat is a good Business Credit Card to have for our line of work?
Hey Jobbers: I'm in the 7th month of business and things are going quite well, but I've been thinking of trying to get my purchases to work of me. Often times credit cards will give perks for cash back or rewards points depending on the purchases that one makes. In our line of work, purchases are pretty out of the norm to other business on a day-to-day basis. I've been doing some research of different programs, but the ranked lists seem to be sponsored by banks, like usual. Hard to trust biased articles. I was wondering if anyone had personal experience/ good recommendations for a credit card that is geared towards Home Services/Handyman companies. Thanks in advance, Think N Tinker292Views3likes9CommentsAnnual price increase reminders
Howdy! How do you guys keep track of annual price increases? It looks like we can set an invoice reminder but I worry that will get lost in a sea of daily invoice reminders. Currently we use internal notes but we continue to miss accounts. We're issuing about 30 increases every month. Would love your ideas!241Views0likes3Comments
