For us, the biggest seasonal shift is protecting recurring revenue before customers start thinking about cutting back.
We stay year-round, even through snow, but customer behavior changes once the weather does. That’s when we pay closer attention to churn risk, offer lower-frequency options when it makes sense, push prepayment offers, and use email/newsletters to stay in front of customers.
Operationally, we also tighten routes and watch capacity more closely because slower seasons can make bad service areas and low-density stops stand out fast.
I’ve learned that the seasonal transition is easier when you plan retention before the slowdown hits instead of reacting after cancellations start coming in.
