Forum Discussion
So much about differentiation comes down to your messaging and how you talk about your service. So many of us run businesses that are very similar to others, but how we talk about ourselves can make us seem different. Different is better than better.
Tell them what you do even if it's the same as everyone else. Nobody else is saying it, so if you say it, you'll get all the business. Some examples:
We clean up the job site even if we're coming right back tomorrow morning.
We'll take a bunch of photos of your work every step of the way so you can see what we see.
Our water fed poles won't cloud your windows; they'll be crystal clear after we finish.
Our gutters are seamless; you don't want a bunch of individual sections pieced together!
We collect your payment online so it's really easy and a hassle free experience (no checks, cash, etc.)
Go read all the 1-star reviews of your competitors and then promise to do the opposite!

AdamSylvester Have you ever put together a photo album or digital photo progression for your clients when the project is done?

Yep, we use Company Cam and send them a gallery of photos after every visit.
