Cancellation report

So apparently there is no report to run that shows cancelled/unscheduled jobs in a given time period.

  1. Has anyone else asked for this feature?  I just asked customer service to submit as a requested feature - hopefully, it's fast-tracked as I can't see how this isn't available.
  2. Has anyone found some way with zapier to track your canceled jobs and their values so you can track that metric?

  • I know this is old but I just came across it. We have found adding info the beginning of the job title makes it easy to search. An example would be a tree removal job cancels. It was title "Full day ash removal". When i re-title it "CANCELED Full day ash removal", I can either search for that in jobber or filter an exported spreadsheet.

It's not elegant but it works really well for us. I also think it's annoying it is not built into the software directly.

    Hi CleanbyVivi and aarontree

Thanks for raising this, and for the workaround suggestion! That’s a great solution, and we really appreciate you sharing it. We’ve also heard from others that tracking canceled or unscheduled jobs is important, and we’d love to better understand how this data is being used. That way, we can share meaningful feedback with our development team around the need for a report or built-in feature.

Hi. I don't want this to sound like a smartass answer, but I'm not sure what more you need to know if lots of Jobber uses are requesting this. We need to know when work is cancelling and how much!

Right now, if I archive a job that cancels is still shows on reports as an approved quote. If there was a simple "Canceled" status and a "Canceled on" date, then we can pull the data and dive in deeper as we need.

The solution I shared is a pain in the **bleep** for us to manage, but I do it to get good metrics.

No worries, we appreciate your candor!

It's important for our Product team to understand the use cases when we look at feature requests to help identify what we're trying to solve for.
I can definitely see that a canceled job with an approved quote would be confusing in your reporting. When you're looking at these canceled jobs, are you looking for trends in your data? For example if certain clients, or certain days/times of the week are cancelling more frequently, this would help you make changes in your operations to help reduce the amount of cancellations.
