Projected revenue

I would like to look at my upcoming schedule (by day, by week, or a custom range), and see the projected revenue based on future visits.  I own a lawn service/maintenance company, and we invoice our customers after every visit.

For example, when I see tomorrow's schedule, I would like to see the total number of visits, the revenue associated with each visit, and the total revenue for the day.

I have never found a report in Jobber for this.  I'm surprised that it isn't on the dashboard.  Does anyone else think similarly?  Are there easy work-arounds?

Hi everyone! Thanks for the feedback - I'm the product manager of the Business Insights team so wanted to share my thoughts:

    1. You can surface the value of visits in the Visits report. If you're having issues with selecting dates, try selecting your end date first, then select the start date. (It's not possible to select a start date after an end date).

    2. You can also use the Visits report to return the value of unscheduled visits. Just select the 'Start within' filter, and change it to 'Unscheduled'

    3. As BeesKnees mentioned there's an 'Upcoming job value' chart on the Insights dashboard that also returns the value of upcoming jobs. This is slightly different than the Visits report as it includes the value of Recurring, Fixed Price jobs. Currently it only has pre-set date ranges, but we have been adding custom date ranges to several of the Insights charts, and it's great feedback to support a custom range on this chart too!

Thanks everyone for this lively discussion and for continuing to share your feedback on this! We understand how valuable it would be to view projected revenue based on scheduled visits—whether by day, week, or over a custom date range. This would make it much easier to forecast income and plan ahead for your business.

I’ve shared your comments and examples with our development team so they can consider this as we look at ways to enhance reporting and scheduling insights in Jobber. We really appreciate you taking the time to outline how this feature would help your workflow.

  • In Visits report I select the upcoming days in the calendar and uncompleted jobs and it shows me the forecast.

It doesn't let you look in to the future. Say today, February 22nd, I want to see the revenue schedule for April 15th. How do we get that? I think this really should be listed on the schedule somewhere.

On the dashboard, there is a field called "Upcoming Jobs" but I can't customize that for a particular day or week. Frustrating.

I'm just going to comment on this again, to ask Jobber to add this reporting feature.  My goal:  easily see a report projected revenue, based on scheduled visits.  I'd like to customize this.  For example:  see the projected revenue for the next week, for the rest of the month, for the upcoming month, etc. ..... based on the visits that are on the calendar.  Would also like to see the total revenue for "unscheduled visits".    Thanks!

If you're looking to just use Jobber reports, I'll typically export the active visits report in jobber and then calculate it based on active clients.

However, you'd have to do this every time you add a new client because your forecasted revenue would change.

There's an app in the marketplace called Crew Insight that I helped build. It shows forecasted rev for one off and recurring. That way you always know what your recurring revenue is at a glance. It's been nice to see how that number changes as the business grows and I have more active recurring clients.

Hey Derek, thanks for the feedback. I've passed it along to our Success Team.
I also recommend that you use the "visits report" filter by the day you're looking at as a workaround for this!

Hi Julie, I just tried this but it doesn't allow me to filter by day and it also blocks me from filtering a day in the future.
