Docusign Integration
Does anyone use this integration? We start with a basic client agreement, but have found the integration to be super frustrating. First of all, it creates a draft for EVERY job. If you have multiple jobs per client, it's creating a draft and a Docusign box for EACH ONE. Problem is, we only need one per client. You also, for some reason that nobody can explain, can't push a document out to a present client without creating a new job. Who on earth came up with this is beyond me. What we've done is create a dummy job called 'Client Agreement' in order to 'house' the document and ignore the drafts on all the rest. One would think that Jobber would just create a Docusign draft box on each front client page and leave it at that, but they've made it as bulky and illogical as possible.
And before you suggest it, we've already submitted requests to fix this in a new update, but as with all of those we don't expect anything to be done.
We love Jobber for the most part, but some of their logic is ridiculous.
Hi scottmorefield — thanks so much for reaching out, and I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration with the DocuSign integration.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with the team. It helps guide how we approach improvements to our integrations going forward.
Just to clarify, is the main issue that there's a growing backlog of drafts sitting in DocuSign? If so, it might also be worth reaching out to DocuSign directly, as they may be able to assist on that front as well.
One potential workaround our team has discussed is setting up a Zap using Zapier to connect with DocuSign. With this approach, a document would only be created when a new client is added, which could help avoid the draft backlog. This setup only requires a two-step Zap, so it should work on Zapier’s free plan.
Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any questions or if we can dig in further.
