Quo & Jobber and some other question...

I would like to speak with someone who is using both Quo and Jobber. I am coming back to Jobber from Housecall Pro and wanted to confirm a few things, I'd love if I can have an actual conversation with a pro using the system daily.

Quo related questions:

  • In my current system I am able to both text and call from the same number. It seems that I won't be able to do that with Jobber, but I am thinking that the number Jobber provides for texting I will use just for "system generated messages and marketing" and our Quo number for calling customers and texting them to discuss proposals, etc. Is anyone doing anything similar?
  • Do calls and texts from Quo show up on Jobber?

Other system questions in case someone is able to assist:

  • We service generators and it's important for us to track service agreements as well as equipment details. How are these being handled in housecall?
  • Most of our jobs are multi day installs with inspections and work thrown in between. Is that easy to handle in Jobber?
  • How is the price book? Am I able to categorize items by brand or any other method?
  • What is everyone's opinion on websites created within Jobber?

Thanks!!

  • Welcome back to Jobber! Here is the quick, no-nonsense breakdown of how to make this setup work for your business.

    1. Quo & Jobber Communication

    • The Number Strategy: Your plan is perfect. Use Jobber for automated, high-volume system alerts (booking confirmations, "on my way" texts) and keep Quo as your dedicated personal line for two-way conversations, calling, and custom text proposals.
    • Do they sync?
      • Calls: Yes. Quo automatically matches incoming numbers to Jobber clients and syncs AI-generated call summaries and transcripts straight to the Jobber client record.
      • Texts: Not natively. You will need to set up a quick Zapier integration to automatically push Quo text threads into Jobber client notes.

    2. Managing Generator Equipment & Service Agreements

    • Equipment Details: Use Property Custom Fields (e.g., Generator Brand, Model #, Serial #, KW Capacity). Because these live at the Property level, they stay attached to the physical address no matter who owns the home, and any tech on site can instantly see the specs.
    • Service Agreements: Handle these via Recurring Jobs. Set them up to auto-schedule (e.g., semi-annual maintenance) and run automated monthly or annual card payments on file.

    3. Multi-Day Installs & Inspections

    Jobber handles this easily:

    • Schedule a single Job with multiple visits spread across different days.
    • If you have a gap day for inspections, simply leave that day blank on the calendar and schedule the final startup visit for the day after.
    • Use Job Forms to build custom inspection checklists that techs can complete on their phones, attach photos to, and email to clients.

    4. The Price Book & Brand Categorization

Jobber's price book is clean but flat (no deep folders like HCP).

    • Organize it using strict naming prefixes to keep brands grouped together alphabetically.
    • Example:
      • GEN - Generac - 22kW Guardian
      • PART - Generac - Oil Filter

    5. Jobber-Created Websites

    • The Verdict: Great for a fast, clean, professional landing page that integrates seamlessly with Jobber's Online Booking.
    • The Catch: It is basic. If you need advanced SEO, blogging, or heavy custom branding down the road, you are better off building on WordPress or Squarespace and simply embedding Jobber’s booking widget.

Hopefully this helps you leverage the best parts of both softwares without overcomplicating your day-to-day work!!!
