Weather Widget 🌞🌧️❄️🔥

Is it possible to integrate Jobber with a weather app?

On the dashboard, we were thinking a 7-day forecast could be visible.   Also, I thought a small temperature reading on the monthly calendar would be visible.

We also thought the weather for the day could be captured and saved as an internal note for the job.

    I don’t know of a native Jobber weather widget, but this feels very doable through an integration/API setup.

    I recently started playing with Jobber’s developer integrations for my own CEO dashboard, and this is exactly the kind of thing I’d look at building externally — pulling weather data from a weather API and matching it to the job date/location.

    The 7-day forecast on a separate dashboard would probably be the easiest piece. Saving the actual weather conditions to the job afterward would be really useful too, especially for industries where weather affects cancellations, job completion, or documentation.

    The part I’m less sure about is whether you could actually inject the temperature directly onto Jobber’s native monthly calendar. That may require Jobber itself to support it rather than something you can accomplish through an integration.

    But I LOVE the idea of automatically logging something like “72°, rain, 0.4 inches precipitation” as an internal job note. That could be really valuable documentation for weather-dependent businesses.

      Your CEO dashboard sounds really cool. The Jobber API definitely makes it an option to build some customized tooling for yourself.

      What I found that works is using tasks to write the weather forecast on the schedule and writing an internal job note with the weather every day that gets updated when the visit's completed.

    Hey Jessica-2025​ I had the same thought. There is a chrome extension I made (if you use chrome) that does enable this on the desktop. The extension is called "Jobber++" and can be found here

      Thanks for creating this!!! Before installing, I noticed Chrome says the extension isn't trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing and it requests browsing history access. Can you explain why that permission is needed? Is the source code available anywhere?

        Yes source code is at https://github.com/JoelFriedrich/jobber-plus-plus. It does use local storage on the browser just to remember what city you've entered, but it shouldn't be asking for access to browser "history" per se. I'll look into and let you know of any fixes that I find. In the meantime here is a the github contains the source code.

    It would be a great idea I think.  For the technicians to see the 7 day forecast. We have comments sometimes "oh I wasn't aware that a snowstorm had come in". LOL
