How to set up automated yearly service reminders in Jobber?

I know I’ve seen this come up before but as a service based industry, I rely heavily on repeat customers.

I’d like to remind a customer about 11 months after they book with us that their service is coming up.

The work around is that I can set them up as a recurring customer and have it remind them that their schedule is coming up a month before the scheduled date.

My issue with that is one, I have to wait for paperwork for the customer, and two, I don’t like to have to stay on top of seeing if customers actually still want the service.

I want reminders sent via email and txt automatically after 11 months (Not a year) and then they can reach back out to us when they get paperwork in for scheduling.

There’s got to be a way for Jobber to do this and I can’t seem to figure that out.

Hey David! Thanks for the question, the easiest way to do this in Jobber would be with our Campaign Marketing tools!

You can create an automated Campaign that targets your specific clients 11 months after their service, and send them an email reminding them of their service! Here is more information on this.

We've been trying to use this feature but it has limitations. When we originally started using Jobber, we were told the best practice for our every six months customers was to set them up as a one off, and add a new visit to the archived/closed job when they were due and booked. This allowed us to easily track and see notes from all the prior visits in one place without having to set them up on an auto 6 months recurring job. Now when we set up automated reminders for clients with their last service six months ago via campaigns, the reminders can go out to clients who just had service a week ago. The campaigns automation only looks at the job closed date, not the visits. An update on that would be incredibly helpful for us.

Hey Thomas! Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I have submitted the feedback on including an option that focuses on visits rather than job close date on the campaign add-on. What I could suggest here is to add a tag on the clients you want to target (ex. add a tag called bi-annual clients) and use the tag as the main target factor.

I appreciate your input on this, thank you for bringing this to the community!

Thanks Jade. We are using tags now, but there are still too many opportunities for a tag to not get updated and an inaccurate email to go out to clients when we have have the correct data in Jobber, just need to be able to use it.
