Exactly. I think the “stay connected before they’re ready” piece matters a lot. Some people are not ready to buy or continue at the same level right now, but that doesn’t mean the relationship has to go cold. Newsletters, follow-ups, and education keep you in the conversation until the timing makes sense again.
I completely agree. It's also changed the way I think about marketing. Instead of trying to convince someone to buy today, I'm trying to be a helpful resource so that when they're ready, they already know who I am and what I offer.
In residential design, people often spend months, sometimes even years, planning before they're ready to move forward. Staying connected during that time feels much more valuable than trying to rush the decision. And honestly, I enjoy building those relationships. It's one of the most rewarding parts of running my business.
