Some of my highest quality customers I've gotten didn't come from ads, they came from positioning and direct relationships.
Instead of trying to outspend competitors, I wrote a short book specifically for property managers in my niche. It wasn’t complicated—just a clear breakdown of a problem they deal with and how to solve it. Then I had it printed via Kindle Direct Publishing.
Now when I meet a prospect, I’m handing them a physical book with my name on it. And that changes the entire conversation.
- You’re no longer “another company”
- You’re the person who literally wrote the book on the subject
- You instantly stand out in a sea of generic outreach
And because it’s physical, it doesn’t get lost in an inbox or buried in DMs. It sits on their desk. That one move positioned me as an authority way faster than any ad ever did.
On your instagram, you say "We Frame Memories". You could make a small booklet of some of your best Wall Art and the story behind each piece, and then have a bunch of copies that you give out to your previous customers as a "Thank you" gift and as a way for them to send you referrals. It's a lot easier to get referrals from someone when you give them a physical item to give away instead of just a flyer/business card etc. Maybe make one version of your book for Moms and all the Mom/children Wall art you have, one for Dads etc. It just depends on who is your ideal customer that you want to continue advertising to and working with.

For MetroWalllflower, door hangers in neighborhoods are still one of the best moves. People love unique personalized gifts.
Also, build relationships with local funeral homes and churches — those are perfect for memorial gifts like your photo flower vases.
And don’t sleep on wedding photographers and planners. A lot of people want custom photo gifts after weddings.
