Personally I love this feature of Jobber. Not because I'm an ambassador but because it works! I have a couple standing strategies - follow up with jobs that are done already. These are sent out to people 3-4 months after the job is complete. Then a few months after that, another one asking what they want to do next. Set it up once then forget it. If you get one job out of it, it's a home run.
The other thing I really like is a have a VA that makes all my marketing emails. These emails are strictly informational. She has specific instructions to not try to sell anything, use our previous jobs as inspiration, and simply just give tidbits of info. I have to tell you, this is one of the most successful strategies we have. I can't tell you how many people say "i've been following your emails for months and this last one made me think about a job I wanted to do" or something to that effect. Are all the emails Shakespear? No - But I think it's totally worth it. Train someone for $10/hr to do it, package it with some other tasks and it will pay off. - AnthonySalazarVerified Community Coach
I’ve used the email campaign side of Jobber mostly for reactivation and seasonal messaging.
The biggest use case for us has been staying in front of past clients and older leads instead of letting them disappear after the first quote or cancellation. And using it to send out a digital version of our newsletter.
It’s pretty straightforward to use, and I like having the customer list already inside Jobber instead of exporting everything somewhere else just to send a campaign.
Where I think it gets useful is segmentation.
A message to an old lead should be different from a message to a past recurring customer, and both should be different from an active client.
I’ve had good results using email for things like:
- reactivation offers
- seasonal reminders
- prepayment offers
- add-on services
- keeping customers engaged between normal service communications
I’d definitely test it if you already have a decent amount of customer history inside Jobber. Even one or two reactivated clients can make the campaign worth sending.
