Posting in Facebook groups by itself can be tough because most of the people there aren’t actively shopping for a detailer when they see the post.
I’d focus on 3 things:
- Google Business Profile and reviews, so you show up when someone is actually searching.
- Before/after content with a clear offer, not just “here’s a car I cleaned.”
- Follow-up. A lot of people won’t book the first time they see you.
For Facebook groups specifically, I’d make the post about a problem the customer already has.
Example:
“Anyone in [city] dealing with hard water spots or interior stains they can’t get out? I’ve got 2 openings this week.”
That usually gives people more reason to respond than just posting finished boats and cars.
I’d also look at local partnerships with marinas, dealerships, tint shops, mechanics, and higher-end neighborhoods. Detailing is visual, but trust and local proof matter a lot.
