ok… what lead tactics are ACTUALLY working for you all?

We’ve mainly grown thru referrals + just being obsessive about customer service. But now we’re expanding to new areas and tbh I have no idea which lead-gen channels actually move the needle anymore.

For those of you running service businesses:
• Are paid ads even worth it?
• Anyone getting good results from partnerships or local collabs?
• SEO… does it take forever or am I just doing it wrong lol?

Would love any real-world experiences — wins, fails, whatever. I’m all ears.

  • We've had a small drywall repair franchise for about 18 months now, and most of the paid advertising we've tried hasn't been fruitful.  We've advertised with a local radio station, on digital boards at the golf course, and through targeted mailouts, door hangers, and, unfortunately, we've had very little response from any of these efforts.

We've experienced a good response from our Business-to-Business partnerships.  Getting in the door sometimes can be difficult, but once we've completed a job for them, we typically receive additional work from them.  We currently work with several companies, such as roofing, plumbing, restoration, HVAC, and rental properties.

We're finding that participating in business networking groups and after-hours events put on by the local chambers of commerce or businesses allows us to meet new people, many of whom are business owners, and discuss our business with them while putting a business card in their hands.  Lastly, we love it when we get calls from potential clients who found our information on our wrapped vehicles (2 trucks & 1 van).

BNI groups ! Look up a Business Networking International in your area. Easy money if you won't mind networking. Have each of your sales positions join groups as well if they will go for it.

My SEO kind of came and now it's starting to fade again, not sure if I need to put more money into it.

My feeling on paid ads is they will keep you busy but not massive money makers. You do gain a client though so ideally they come back for more.

    Facebook groups?

    Lawn signs / door knockers / 5 around ?
