Audience Selection

Maybe im an idiot and i dont think like a coder.

BUT why cant i just open up the campain audience selection. it has all the names of the clients, address and tags last service dates etc. and i just click a filter. hey find everyone with this tag. i click select all. then go and search another tag and select all now both groups are in.

i thought that was what i was doing, but selecting include this tag but thats not everyone i need so lets add this tag. nope it filtered the list down even more because not everyone has (nor should they have both of the tags i am needing) no i don't want to mass message 400 people. for this as i would like to give a more customized message to this particular audience.

or a way to exclude customser who do have a visit upcoming in x days. its great thats an option. i am going after customers who are not already on the list....I DONT want them getting bombarded by a bunch of emails as they are already getting specific ones for them

  • also selecting the client name doesn't work if you cant scroll all the way through them. im stuck at the Cs. not sure how im suppossed to individually select them without actively searching for clients

  • Again excluding audiences. there has to be a way where it take 500 clients exclude this group and alos exclude this group. and they are both gone. not only exclude someone who is in both groups. or include group A but also include group B despite them not being in the same group

Hi BlueSkies , you are definitely not thinking about this wrong. Segmentation can feel a bit restrictive at first.

Right now, campaign filters stack as AND conditions, meaning each filter further narrows the audience. So instead of trying to combine multiple include tags, it may be simpler to approach this a different way.

    For example, you could:
    • Start with a broader group, like “All active clients”
    • Add a tag filter for the primary audience you want to target
    • Then use the Job status filter to exclude clients with an upcoming visit within X days
    • Or use the “Past clients” or “Upcoming clients” filters to narrow based on recent activity

This often achieves the result you are looking for without juggling multiple include tags. Does that work for you?

If you would like, our team would be happy to look at your exact scenario and help you build the cleanest segment for what you are trying to accomplish.
