Adding a To do Task Manager

I have been getting many emails and texts asking for quotes and such.  As of now I've been using google tasks to mark down the things I need to accomplish.  However, I would like to have it all in one place with jobber.  It would be very helpful to have a Task section where I can create a task that is linked to a client.  That way I don't miss or forget anything that needs to be done in the coming days/weeks.

Hi CarpetRand  Thanks for sharing this. Keeping track of follow-ups and requests in one place is definitely important, especially when they are coming in from different channels like email and text.

I am curious how these requests are usually coming in. If they are coming directly from clients, have you tried entering them as Requests in Jobber so they are tied to the client and can be converted into quotes or jobs later? Some teams also use tasks on the schedule as reminders for follow ups or things that need to be completed on certain days.

Would either of those workflows help with what you are trying to track, or are you mainly looking for a dedicated task list that sits alongside your clients in Jobber? Your input is really helpful for our team.

They seem to be asking for a to do or task list.  That would be really helpful for my team, particularly for a running list of things that need to be worked on during down time. If we could have lists you could customize and add to & that you could select specific team members for that would be awesome!  It would be great if the system could pull all the todo’s from jobber like jobs that have actions items, need to be closed or invoiced, requests etc all on one master task list for your home page.

Try the schedule tab i think that can be helpful to start this option

Also try to sync with your calendar in my case i use google so everything on jobber reflects on my google caledar too!

We use the Task in Schedule for specific people to do things and Events when everyone needs to see it.    It means on the desktop it looks a bit full but on the mobile (which all the operatives use - its only stuff that relates to them. Keeping it cleaner and clearer.
