How Do You Track Service Agreement Members and Apply Member Pricing Automatically?

I'm really trying to structure a service agreement and to keep it contained within Jobber for simplicity.

Things that I need

  • Once I sell the membership we need to find a way to automatically mark/tag/flag the customer as an active member
  • When that member calls in have a way for me CSR to be able to see that the client as a member
  • When a new quote is created have a line item automatically populate so that the service technician in the field (IOS app) will be able to identify the customer as a member.
  • Secondary pricing for members would be a great bonus.
  • Reporting on members

To manage service agreements natively in Jobber, set up a Client Custom Field named "Membership Status" under settings so active members show a clear tag on their profile and work orders. Set up recurring monthly or annual auto-pay billing through Jobber Payments to handle dues automatically.

For discounted pricing, add dedicated member-rate items directly to your Products and Services catalog, or apply a line-item percentage discount on quotes and jobs for clients with the active member tag. For included annual visits or inspections, create a recurring job scheduled for every 6 or 12 months with the invoicing set to zero since dues cover the visit.

One thing I do for different membership tiers or prepayment plans is using the "tag" in Jobber and custom fields to note which clients have which plan. It helps you quickly filter through all of your customers on that tier. And you can report against tags or custom fields when you export the list from Jobber.

  • One thing I would add is a way to track the membership renewal or expiration date. It would be helpful if there was an alert before it expires so the customer doesn’t fall through the cracks and the team knows when it is time to follow up.
