Client Communications

I would like to see space to log our own client communications - not in notes!

For example, when we chase quote, we sometimes email but other times we call the client.  Unfortunately there is no where to log that they were called including date and time unless i put it in the notes  on the quote.   Or the notes on client page, which then does not include the items sent via Jobber. 

 It would be handy to have a communications area that we could add communications too that also included the quote number to so we could search and see only communications related to that particular quote.  This feature would be particularly handy when dealing with property managers who have 10 sites in quote stage.

    I would love to have a living document, kind of like a message board that customers and myself could share, we could brainstorm, share notes between several managers on site and myself(I mostly service commercial properties that are large with various supervisors.)

    Thanks for sharing this, I can definitely see how that would be helpful, especially when you’re managing multiple quotes for the same client.

    Have you tried using custom fields for this? For example, you could add something like a “last communication” field on the quote or client to help track outreach at a glance.

    I’m also curious to learn a bit more about your workflow, what’s not working for you with using notes today? Is it more about visibility, searchability, or tying communications specifically to a quote?

    Understanding that piece a bit better would really help us think through the best way to support this.

      Notes are great for some things - like our Team Notes and Surveyor Notes (which would be fantastic in form format - but hey already mentioned that before)  When Chasing quotes - putting in custom fields against a client when they have lots of different sites, could work but only if it is attached to each quote as I said we can have a client with 15 sites all with there own property management companies and 10 of them have quotes in different stages, so would have to work out which info is for which quote.  I would like a simple communication capture per quote - so we can see when calls have been made and emails sent etc.    This would help with both visibility and tying communications to a quote rather than a client.  It would also mean that when I am away from my desk, my boss can see where we are at with all the quotes - rather than having to wait for me to return and vice versa.  Also only team notes make it to jobs, so I would have to ensure those notes don't make it to the teams in the field as they do not need to know anything about the office side.  

      Overall Jobber is a great site, but just little tweaks that would help massively.
