Q - Rosie, the referral bonus only when the referred customer does recurring service?
- roselvaggioJobber Ambassador
Nope! We aim to provide a killer first impression on that first initial service. $50 off of that! We nurture the client journey from there :)

Q - Stephen, how difficult was it to set up the second location with Google? It seems to be really difficult to do this in our location in Ottawa?
- StephenJobeContributor 2
Relatively simple. The main thing is to have a dedicated location that you can prove to google is an operating space. We pay a share office space for a permanent desk so that we can qualify on Google for a permanent location. The key is to differentiate it from the main location- same website, same number is fine, but name needs to be different: Jobe & Sons Plumbing vs. Jobe & Sons Plumbing- Northwest

Q - When I enter the po # in the right spot in the invoice it is still not included on the invoice. How can I fix that?
- TrapperjohnContributor 2
We’ve run into this before. In our case, the PO number was being entered correctly but wasn’t showing on the final invoice because it wasn’t enabled in the invoice layout/settings.
I’d double-check that the PO field is set to display on the customer-facing invoice and not just stored internally. Also worth previewing the invoice before sending to confirm it’s showing up where you expect.
If it’s still not appearing, it might be worth reaching out to Jobber support—sometimes it’s tied to how the invoice template is configured.

Q - How do you automatically include the PDF of the invoice when you send the invoice? Because we sometimes forget to click the box to include it...?
- TrapperjohnContributor 2
We’ve run into this too. As far as I know, there isn’t a way to automatically include the PDF every time—it's still a manual checkbox when sending the invoice.
What’s helped us is building it into our process so our team double-checks before sending. It would definitely be a great feature to have automated though, especially for consistency.

Q - Are there upgrades or changes coming to jobber we can be aware of? When will they roll out?
- TrapperjohnContributor 2
From what I’ve seen, Jobber usually rolls out updates gradually rather than announcing everything upfront. Most of the changes we notice come through in-app updates, emails, or small feature improvements over time.
It would definitely be helpful to have more visibility on upcoming features and timelines, though—especially for planning workflows and training teams. Curious if anyone from Jobber can share what’s coming next.

Thanks for your comment and question Trapperjohn ! To your point, we generally rely on the tools you mention plus larger events like Jobber Now to announce features. We also post them on Jobber Updates page when they launch.
Regarding future updates and features - this is one we hear a lot and I will take back to the Product Team (great point about the workflow and training). There is currently no public-facing roadmap, but please know we do listen to product feedback from you and others and the team is working on many of your suggestions!

Q - Any chance of an ability to setup a zoom/video call with a customer where they can walk around their property/job and we can record/ask questions capture photos from their phone to build an assessment report or quote?
- StephenJobeContributor 2
I LOVE this question!
While Jobber doesn’t feature this internally- we’ve used FaceTime on Apple for video assessments. Saves time, customers love the convenience and we promise the quote within an hour.
Heres how we do it on the website:
https://jobeandsonsplumbing.com/book-online
and then on the line items we write this disclaimer:
“VIDEO ESTIMATE
Convenient, easy and QUICK.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Video estimates are offered for select plumbing services where all work areas are clearly visible and accessible during the call.
Pricing provided during a video estimate is based solely on the conditions observed at that time. If additional issues, concealed conditions, or code-related requirements are discovered on site, pricing may be adjusted with customer approval before work proceeds.
Video estimates do not apply to active leaks, diagnostic services, underground plumbing, re-pipes, or work requiring wall or concrete access.
Customer-supplied fixtures must be new, complete, and on site at the time of service.
All video estimate pricing is valid for 14 days.“
Feel free to copy and use as you’d like!

Q - What is best way to score a job if price is reasonable with other quotes without coming out as desperate for the job?
- StephenJobeContributor 2
Like roselvaggio said, let your brand speak for you. It's ok to even price higher than your competitors IF your value is higher. Ask yourself: What is something that would absolutely blow someone's socks off? You competitors are probably not thinking about that.
Rosie does those pink boxes- which while a higher cost per onboarded client, adds so much customer care value that it is multiplied on the income coming in.
We do little 2oz bags of ground coffee from Plumbers Crack Coffee for new customers or if we want to reengage with our longer term clients.

Q - How does Jobber deal with the inventory and including line items when sending invoices for plumbing since there are so many different parts in this field?
- xuemingJobber Product Team
Q - Do either of you utilize QR codes for onsite reviews?
- StephenJobeContributor 2
Not currently. But a great way to do that would be to utilize the time while you are "inputing payments" to have them scan the code and leave a review. It takes literally 5 seconds and most people are willing to do that since it's dead space while they wait. Having the QR code on a card or even the back of your phone for them to scan as you take the payment is a great way to efficiently do so.
ALSO, we emailed all of clients and made the subject:
"How do I ask for a Google Review from you?" (or something like that) and then invited everyone to leave a review if they hadn't done so. From that alone, we've had some substantial daily moves. Though this is a one time move so make sure its a good one if you are going to use it. - roselvaggioJobber Ambassador
We have been considering this, but since Jobber does send out the automated text upon completion we have been holding off.
