👏 Congrats to everyone who finished Phase 2!

🎉 Phase 2 is officially complete! Congrats to everyone who made it this far. Looking back, what was the biggest challenge you faced—and what part of your application are you most proud of? Wishing everyone the very best as we wait for the next step! 🚀

  • The best part of the phase 2 essay made me really question what I can do more for my community. So I got to thinking. Im going to partner with my church and one of our members is a news anchor. I will be proposing a nomination by essay to have someone in need get a full house cleaning top to bottom inside and out once a month to someone who really needs it and cant afford or cant physically do it. The elderly, veterans,  disabled, anyone in need. So regardless if this takes me to phase 3 I am proud of my team and what we are accomplishing. Thank you for helping me think more about my community and what I can do for them!

Thank you. If you have the means and the ability to do something good for someone else dont waste the opportunity.  Get creative with it! Most importantly have fun with it and do it because you want to do it. Because the people who need it deserve someone who will think of them first.

I agree. Even though I am just getting started and am solo, I have big plans to help the elderly in our community. Some have no one to check in on them let alone do things around the house. I want to take it a step further. I want to be that light for those who need it.

I respect that. Every big mission starts with one person who’s willing to make a difference. Your heart for serving the elderly is inspiring, and I hope you’re able to build something that leaves a lasting impact in your community. Wishing you nothing but success on your journey. 👏

  • it was an opportunity to prove what I’m building. The biggest challenge was condensing years of sacrifice, lessons, and determination into a few answers. What I’m most proud of is submitting an application that truly reflects my vision for Davis Precision Painting, LLC and the impact I plan to make in my community. I didn’t come this far just to participate. I came to compete. Congratulations to everyone who earned their spot in Phase 2. Looking forward to seeing who’s ready for Phase 3. 🚀💪

Well said. Building something from the ground up takes years of work that most people never see. Wishing you the best in Phase 3 and beyond. Keep pushing your vision forward—looking forward to seeing what you accomplish. 👏🚀

  • Congratulations to everyone who made it to Phase 2. The biggest challenge for me was putting into words what I have built over the years. English is not my first language, and I wanted to make sure my answers truly reflected who I am and what I am building. I am proud of submitting something that is honest and real. Good luck to everyone moving forward.

Congratulations! 🎉 I completely understand. Turning years of hard work into a few written answers isn’t easy. Staying true to your vision is what matters most. Wishing you continued success, and good luck to everyone moving forward! 🚀

  • Congratulations everyone! My name is Kalilind Lewis and I am a master plumber . My biggest challenge looking back was leaving the Union and secure paycheck to take a bet on myself and running my own plumbing business. My favorite part of the app, was telling about where I came from and how plumbing saved my life. Reflecting on starting in trade school and having a quote that said I hope to one day become a great plumber and start my own company. 20 years later I can reflect and say it came true!

Congrats to everyone who made it through Phase 2. For me, the biggest challenge was taking all the ideas in my head and putting them into a clear plan that showed where X79 Clean is now and where I want to take it. I am a one person business, so I had to really think through equipment, marketing, systems, and growth in a realistic way.

The part I am most proud of is explaining why this work matters. X79 Clean is not just about making mats look clean. It is about helping gyms, Jiu-Jitsu schools, and athletic facilities create cleaner, safer training spaces for athletes, kids, coaches, and members. Good luck to everyone waiting for the next step.

  • The biggest challenge was that there was so much more that I wanted to say but I’m hoping that I crunched the best parts of my business journey into my answers. Good luck everyone!

  • By far the most challenging was coming up with the plan for the company and the budget I am mostproud of the fact that I am still in the running to be one of grantees it’s encouraging and inspiring

  • The biggest challenge was building trust from day one with almost no budget. We started Quick Boyz with just $180 and had to earn every opportunity. Every dollar we made went back into the business—branding, equipment, safety gear, insurance, marketing, and eventually purchasing our own commercial dump truck.

The part I’m most proud of is that in about four months we’ve built a real company, not just a job. We’re licensed, bonded, insured, carry commercial auto insurance, have over $20k in equipment (not including the truck), have earned dozens of 5-star reviews, built a strong online presence, and even see Google’s AI summarize our reputation based on customer feedback. Most importantly, we’ve done it while focusing on taking care of customers and building something that will last.

Looking forward to seeing what Phase 3 brings. Best of luck to everyone!
