How to prevent or merge duplicate client records when syncing with QuickBooks?

I've been asking about this for a while and am hoping that someone has found a solution.   At least once a week, when syncing with quickbooks, I get an error message saying that it can't sync CLIEN...

    I would like to be able to merge clients and/or addresses -   we deal with a lot of property managers, who leave, change person etc and trying to keep up as they sometimes call us to arrange a site visit but is a site we already have and now its in twice but under different names.  So records of sites are not kept together.
