Hi Fellow Jobber Entrepreneurs,

What memberships, associations, groups etc. was the most beneficial for your entrepreneurial journey?

I am looking at what would work for me.

Thanks a bunch

  • The local Chamber of Commerce has worked great getting my name out to fellow business owners. There is s free business networking event in different parts of the city on different days. That has worked out great, also getting in front of people and giving a 45 to 60 second pitch to see how other business can help support yours. Also meeting with fellow business owners for a coffee or one on one to learn about one another's needs and how you can help one another grow.

  • Consider It Done! Personal Concierge Service is based in Raleigh, NC . We find that networking and forming relationships with women business owners and realtors is especially helpful to our business.

We work a lot with property and facility managers so we are in a bunch of assiciations geared toward them, CAI, BOMA, Apartment Association and IREM. We get a tremendous ROI 25:1 but its not just joining, its engaging with commitees, going to events, LinkedIn etc.

How do you survive in the Apartment industry with the net 30 and chasing down payments from the property managers even if you have a great relationship with them.  They hate paying and be questioned about payments.  How do you deal with all this

Do you have a line of credit?  This would help for sure.  Also perhaps agreeing with them on better payment terms. I know with Jobber you can set your own payment terms.

  • Hello!  I also would suggest your local chamber.  It's a great way to make connections in the community for referral business.  Good Luck to you!

  • I am from Georgia. We are members of three local Chambers of Commerce in White, Habersham and Rabun Counties. We are also members of two coaching communities, Cleaning Business Fundamentals and CEO Growth. We are also affiliated and/or members of The Georgia Water Coalition, Cleaning For A Reason, ISSA and have numerous social media accounts to include LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Nextdoor. We have been members of  few local merchant associations as well.

  • I'm from Chicago and we have the Chatham Chamber of Commerce. Every week they have meeting and I got to me a lot of movers and shakers in the community.
