    Reviews and referrals are by far the highest attraction for a business. Next I believe is a presence that educates, informs and sometimes entertains that will draw people to you. Then it’s up to you as an owner to follow up - constantly, - offer value before and after the job is done. At that point it’s how you treat your client. Did you do what you said you would, provide the value and service to your standards (and to their expectations.) Then it’s about ownership of mindshare and maintaining it enough so if they hear someone looking for what you do, they immediately think of you.

In my experience, the biggest factor is trust. Most customers compare several businesses before making a decision, and they usually look for signs that the company is reliable rather than just the lowest price.

A clear website, genuine customer reviews, fast responses, and transparent communication all help create a strong first impression. I also think it's important to explain the process upfront so customers know what to expect before they book.

Even small details like answering questions clearly, showing before-and-after examples when appropriate, and following up promptly can make a business stand out. People remember how easy and professional the experience felt.

I couldn't agree more. Trust is what turns a quote into a customer. People want to feel confident they're hiring someone who will communicate well, show up, and deliver on their promises. A great experience is often what brings them back and earns those word-of-mouth referrals.
