Tips should never be expected but always appreciated as you are well aware of. And this is what we tell our cleaning techs. We used to use our software to ask for tips and stopped that and changed the message to tell the client how much we appreciate them for allowing us to serve them and the tips are still coming in. we let our people know that those clients are "theirs" to care for and they (Cleaning Techs) are our clients to care for.

Hi Leonard. Thank you for your input. Since we started using a different payment processing system that simply has a tip option on the signature screen, our technicians have received over $1000 per month each in credit card tips alone! They get cash tips too! This is an invaluable tool for employee recruitment and retention and has already allowed us to hire better technicians that require higher pay. I wish Jobber would get the picture and make this simple update to their mobile app and client hub.
