We just started shutting down last year between Christmas and New Years and pay every employee to take the week off. If employees have been on board more than 1 year they receive additional week off.
We pay 1/2 of employee medical insurance and offer supplemental insurance such as eye and dental. Key to hiring committed long term employees that will not jump ship every time someone offers them $1 more per hour.
