Should I hire employees or use 1099 subcontractors for better quality?

I pivoted away from 1099 to strictly W2 and I love the results.  We've grown to 7 total employees and what I like about hiring W2 employees is the following: 1) I offset some of my employees tax burden 2) There is more of a sense of team 3) I can lead and control culture and the schedule more easily because my employees work for my company 4) Our profit margins increase because I'm not paying someone else fees or labor rates and trying to make profit on their work.   Billing our labor directly increases profit margin.
