Rapid Quick Win Checklist – Muddy Paws Landscaping
- Cover & Visuals. Instead of a logo, the profile pic features two dogs - a perfect match for the name and instantly likable. But for branding recognition, a clean, consistent logo needs to live here. You can still use the dogs in content, but the profile picture should match your brand identity. Currently, I had to scroll to find the actual logo and colors, which signals a need for a cohesive branding strategy.
- Bio & Highlights. No highlights at all - that’s a missed opportunity! At minimum, add:
- Before/After transformations
- Services (landscaping, hardscaping, lawn maintenance)
- Team & Dogs (lean into the “Muddy Paws” theme - people love pets)
- Community (collabs with other businesses, local events)
- Content & Frequency. Posts are all over the place with no consistent strategy. Double posts (same content twice) need to be cut back... one is enough. Reels are happening - great! But they feel random. That’s okay for authenticity, but they’d pop so much more with a posting strategy + light branding overlay (consistent fonts, colors, or watermark).
- Engagement & Community. Engagement is low. But you're tagging and sharing other local businesses, which is a smart move to expand reach. Now it needs to be paired with audience-building habits: commenting back, following local groups, tagging locations, and maybe running an ad or two.
- Branding & Identity. No clear branding thread runs through the feed. With a logo, color palette, and posting structure, the whole page will look more professional while keeping the approachable “local dog-loving landscaper” vibe. An editorial calendar will solve most of these issues: consistency + intentionality = growth.
💡Pro Tip: Dogs are already in your name and your feed. Use them as mascots! Create a recurring content series like “The Paw-Approved Project of the Week” or “Muddy Monday Makeovers” featuring before/afters. It’s fun, it’s on-brand, and it makes you instantly memorable.
