Me too - this one is good, well done!
Rapid Quick Win Checklist – Duke’s Tree Service & GOT MOWED 406
- Business Identity Clarity. Decide whether this is one business or two.
- If it’s two (tree service and lawn care), each should have its own Facebook profile, Google Business Profile, and possibly separate websites (or at least a subdomain).
- If it’s one business, then make sure the name is updated consistently everywhere online (FB page, website, Google Business Profile, Yelp, BBB, directories) as “Duke’s Tree Service & GOT MOWED 406.” Local SEO works best when the name is exact and uniform across all platforms.
- Cover & Visuals. Excellent cover photo: clear, branded, and shows both services (chainsaw/tree cutting + freshly cut lawn). Perfect way to show exactly what you do at a glance.
- Intro & About. About section is filled out (yay!), but you’ve got up to 3,000 characters available for that description (not the intro - that's a very brief section). Use that space to add depth: services, years of experience, certifications, values, and even a call-to-action with contact info.
- Featured & Albums. Featured section has 3 posts, but 2 are from previous years. Update this with current projects, testimonials, or milestones. Albums are in place (woohoo!), now expand with:
- Before & Afters (tree removals, stump grinding, lawn transformations)
- Community Involvement (events, sponsorships, volunteer work)
- Team Highlights (celebrations, anniversaries, baby announcements)
- Content Frequency. You’re posting regularly - keep it up! A seasonal content calendar can help layer in timely posts (storm prep, winter snow removal, spring cleanup).
- Show the People. Fantastic use of team photos and behind-the-scenes content, it builds authenticity and community. Huge congrats to Jeremiah & Juliann on the new baby! 🎉 This kind of personal content makes the business feel human and relatable.
- Engagement & Community. You’re tagging local businesses and sharing their content - this is a strong local strategy! The next step is to do a content audit: look at which posts get the most likes/comments/shares, and lean harder into those themes with an editorial calendar built around proven winners.
💡 Pro Tip: Your mix of services + personality already makes you stand out. Try a recurring “Local Shoutout Saturday” to highlight a local business, partner, or community event each week. It’s simple, strengthens local ties, and encourages cross-promotion (hello, new followers!).
