Nextdoor seems to work well for me. Make sure you create a business profile. After you post a recent job to your business profile, then turn around and share that post on your personal profile. Get all your past clients, and friends to "Fave" your business. Nextdoor keeps me local and close to home. They have gotten fairly expensive to run an add campaign. But what i just suggested to you doesn't cost anything.
I've been remodeling homes for over 35 years. I have come to the conclusion that if you truly want to build your business, you will eventually have to PAY for results. Whether you pay an app like Nextdoor, or you pay Google to drive search results to your website, paying will get you there faster. When first starting out tho, any of the neighborhood groups on social media, or nextdoor can with it you be consistent and post often. Also, you might consider paying a professional to tweak your SEO settings for your website. I have used a Chat GPT to suggest SEO improvements for my website and it helped me a lot.
I hope this helps :)
