Launching This Summer Looking for Tips on Hosting a Free Service Day for Veterans & Seniors

We’re getting ready to launch AquaDogs Pressure Washing this summer, and we want to kick things off with a free service day for veterans and seniors in our town. For those of you who’ve done community-focused events or local givebacks. How did you promote it, stay organized, and still make it financially sustainable in those early days? Would love any lessons learned!

  • We actually hosted the Builders Convention in 2024 and kicked things off with a similar approach. We partnered with local trade schools and invited their students to meet our team, plus a bunch of industry influencers from the electrical space. It made a big impact.

One thing that helped us a lot: we reached out to organizations and asked what they needed first. That’s how we found alignment—and from there, it became easy to show up and serve.

    Biggest advice?
Be of service. Lead with value. If people feel you’re really in it to help, they’ll show up.

Cross-market with other local groups, keep your outreach direct, and track your budget as you go. And don’t overthink it—if you build it with the right intent, they’ll come.

this year we are doing it again in Dallas, tx
